Right of Appeal

All members of the University community are entitled to fair and equitable procedures.

Appeals concerning UNF Academic policies

Any student who believes that an Academic policy imposes an undue hardship may petition that policy by submitting a Student Petition of Academic Policy (SPAP). Supporting documentation is required before a petition will be reviewed. Students will be notified via email of the results of a submitted petition. Submission of a petition does not guarantee approval. Learn more about Academic policies and regulations that may not be petitioned.

Appeals concerning course grades

Students who wish to appeal a course grade (except for the grade of "Incomplete") must do so within 90 days from the date final grades are posted. Learn more about appealing academic grades not related to academic misconduct.

Appeals concerning civil rights

Members of the community who believe that they have not been accorded rights under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 or Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972 should contact the Director of Equal Opportunity and Inclusion.
