Getting Admitted into UNF

The Application Procedure

We strongly encourage students to contact the graduate program director of the degree program in which you are interested.

All graduate applicants must complete and submit an online application and pay the non-refundable application fee of $30 by the deadline posted for the applicable term.

Transcripts from a U.S. institution accredited by an accepted institutional accreditor or its equivalent from a non-US institution that awarded the bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree, and transcripts from institutions where any post-baccalaureate and/or graduate credits were earned are required. Arrange to have academic transcripts sent to The Graduate School. Official transcripts will be required for admitted students. Transcripts must be less than one year old from the date of printing. Transcripts should be sent to the Graduate School email address (graduateschool@unf.edu) or the following address:

Some graduate program require the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). If required, arrange to have your official score report sent to The Graduate School at UNF. Please visit www.ets.org for more information regarding the GRE and the www.mba.com for additional information regarding the GMAT. UNF's institutional code is 5490 for the GRE and CF3QB-51 for the GMAT.

Upload all supporting documents through the application portal. Supporting documentation may include materials such as recommendation letters, personal statements, resumes, and writing samples.

All students attending Florida public universities are required to provide proof of immunization against rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) prior to the initial registration. This policy applies to students who attend classes taught on campus. Questions concerning this policy should be directed to the Student Health Services Office, Building 39A/Room 2100, (904) 620-2175.

The University reserves the right to review the case of any student who has been implicated in a criminal offense prior to admission to determine eligibility for admission and participation in extracurricular activities. At the time of application, students must disclose the final disposition of any past or pending judicial proceedings and submit any pertinent documentation.

Once the Graduate School has received an applicant's transcripts and test scores, the application will be referred to the appropriate graduate program director. The department will then review the application, make an admission decision, and notify The Graduate School. The Graduate School will send official admissions decisions through the applicant's application portal.
