Honors Academic Advising

Hicks Honors College students are assigned an academic advisor through Undergraduate Studies First-Year Advising. These advisors provide individualized guidance on the Hicks Honors program requirements and course-specific curriculum information. Honors advisors are located in Building 2/Room 1200 in the Undergraduate Studies office.

Once students reach 30 credit hours, they will also work with an advisor in their major. Honors college students can access their assigned advisor’s appointment schedule through their MyWings Portal.

Students also receive advising regarding fulfillment of upper-level requirements through IDH3924, the Hicks Honors College Pre-Capstone Symposium, where Honors faculty provide guidance to create a customized plan. Typically, students take that course after they reach 45 credit hours. More information is available via the Academic Advising website.
