Marketing Program

Nearly all new students think marketing is just advertising or social media. Well, yes, that’s part of marketing. But it involves so much more. If you are creative, there are jobs in marketing. If you’re analytical, like data and problem solving, there are many jobs in marketing.

Marketing’s foundation is understanding how to meet consumers’ needs and is based on knowing how people act and make decisions. The explosion of digital has changed how marketers meet consumer needs and how we design products, communicate and promote, deliver products, price and measure results so we can improve even more.

Marketing is one of the broadest disciplines and with UNF’s marketing degree you can build on your interests and strengths and learn how to apply them in jobs. To do this, UNF’s marketing degree includes a wide range of courses related to practical theory, skills and knowledge include:

  • Marketing communications
  • Digital marketing
  • Advertising
  • Social media
  • Consumer behavior
  • Market research
  • International marketing
  • Marketing strategy
  • Analytics
  • Professional selling

In addition, we have one of the strongest experiential learning programs in Florida. Our selective programs provide frequent networking opportunities with managers and executives in the Marketing Advisory Council (MAC). MAC companies offer informational interviews, mentoring, resume-building case projects, internships and service opportunities that give students extraordinary real-world experience.
