Nantes, France

Located along the Loire River in western France, Nantes combines historic charm with a lively arts scene, modern public transportation, and a large student population. Students can explore the Château des ducs de Bretagne, the city’s historic neighborhoods, waterfront areas, and the imaginative Machines de l’île.

Nantes is also well positioned for travel. The Atlantic coast is less than an hour away, while Paris can be reached in approximately two hours by high-speed train. Its manageable size, cafés, markets, cultural events, and convenient transportation make Nantes an appealing place to experience daily life in France.
