Assistant Director of Residential Academic Initiatives

Sheresa Divens serves as the Assistant Director for Residential Academic Initiatives at the University of North Florida. She provides leadership for the Living-Learning and Theme Communities and guides the development and implementation of co-curricular learning through the UNF Residential Curriculum. Sheresa advises the department’s Academic Initiatives and Assessment Committee and supervises both the Coordinator for Living-Learning and Theme Communities and the Assistant Residence Life Coordinator for Residential Academic Initiatives.
Sheresa is passionate about bridging the gap between academic and residential experiences. Her professional interests include student leadership, strategic planning, curriculum development, marketing and outreach.
She earned her Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in 2017 and her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from UNCG in 2015. During her time as a student, she served as a Resident Advisor, Orientation Leader, Housing Desk Assistant, member of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), and a sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
Outside of work, Sheresa enjoys spending quality time with her family, indulging in a good book, and exploring local restaurants.
