Assistant Director of Residential Academic Initiatives

Sheresa attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) where she earned a Masters in Higher Education in May 2017 and a Bachelors in Human Development in 2015. Sheresa initially joined UNF in Fall 2017 as a Residence Life Coordinator and now serves as the Assistant Director for Residential Academic Initiatives. In this role, Sheresa oversees the Living-Learning Communities and Educational Initiatives programs in Residence Life. Her professional interests include student leadership, strategic planning, curriculum development, and marketing and outreach. As a student, Sheresa was involved as a Resident Advisor, Orientation Leader, a member of NRHH, a sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and a Housing Desk Assistant. In her spare time, Sheresa enjoys time with her husband and daughter, reading, and discovering local restaurants.

As the Assistant Director for Residential Academic Initiatives, Sheresa’s responsibilities include: oversight of the Living-Learning Community program including marketing, recruitment, selection, and co-curricular implementations. Sheresa also chairs the department’s Educational Initiatives and Assessment Committee, and organizes department-wide learning strategies for residents through the UNF Residential Curriculum. Ultimately, she is passionate about bridging the gap between learning inside and outside the classroom through the use of our residential learning opportunities. Sheresa also serves as a member of the Housing and Residence Life Senior Leadership Team.
