Spring Only 2027 Housing at UNF – What You Need to Know
Please review all of the information carefully as demand for on-campus bed space is high. Below is information to consider before to submitting a Spring Only 2027 Housing Contract.
Housing and Residence Life has a desire to house any student who wishes to live on campus but will be prioritizing the placement of first-year students before finalizing placements of upper-class students.
When bed space demand is higher than bed space availability, the University may utilize a Standby List process to assign bed space that may open up through contract cancellations.
Note: Current residents with an existing Fall 2026-Spring 2027 Housing Contract, do NOT need to submit a Spring Only 2027 Housing Contract.

September 14, 2026 in the myHousing portal
Who Can Submit A Contract:
Any admitted UNF student who plans to register for Spring 2027 classes and wants to live on campus.
Steps to Submit A Contract
- Go to the myHousing portal
- Fully complete the Spring Only 2027 Housing Contract
- Pay the $100 non-refundable processing fee
Note: The sooner you submit a contract the better your chances of being assigned a bed space. It’s first come, first served!
Important Notes
- No guarantees on room type, building, or preferences — they are noted as requests.
- Contracts will be accepted until November 30, 2026, unless all beds fill up earlier.
- Check your UNF email regularly for updates and your housing assignment.
Housing Assignments
The process to ultimately receive a bed assignment is a multiple step process and requires students to take specific required actions.
STEP 1 (Required Action by Student):
Fully submit the Spring Only 2027 Housing Contract in myHousing, which includes the submission of a one-time non-refundable $100.00 processing fee, as soon as possible.
STEP 2 (Handled by Housing and Residence Life):
The Department of Housing and Residence Life will make all assignments for Spring 2027 based on contract submission date.
All students will be assigned to partially occupied rooms/suite/apartments as the vast majority of Fall 2026 residents will return for Spring 2027. While Housing and Residence Life will take into account each student’s preferences, assignment to a specific type of accommodation (community, room type, etc.) or assignment to any preference indicated by student are requests only and not guaranteed.
Housing and Residence Life staff will begin making assignments behind the scenes as early as November 6 and will be communicated to each contracted the students' UNF email in early December.
STEP 3 (Required Action by Assigned Students):
Housing move-in will occur on Monday, January 4, 2027. Residents will receive a move-in appointment for January 4, 2027 between 9 a.m. - 12 noon. You must check-in at the Osprey Clubhouse (building 17) to receive access to your room on or after your assigned move-in appointment.
Plan to arrive after Monday, January 4, 2026. Check your December emails with specific instructions on how to keep us informed on your arrival plans. All move-in details will be sent in mid-December directly to the student's UNF email.
Housing and Residence Life cannot accommodate move-in earlier than January 4, 2027. Visit the University of North Florida campus travel webpage for a listing of preferred UNF area hotels if there is a desire or need to be in the UNF area prior to your assigned move-in appointment.
The Department of Housing and Residence Life will be open and operating during normal business hours each Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. while the University is open.
