Spring Only 2027 Housing at UNF
Housing and Residence Life anticipates accepting Spring Only 2027 Housing Contracts until no later than December 1, 2026. Please note, if housing contract submissions are outpacing the anticipated supply of available beds, Housing and Residence Life may stop taking housing contracts earlier than December 1, 2026, which is why students are encouraged to fully complete the Spring 2027 Housing Contract as soon as possible.
Housing and Residence Life is committed to accommodating all students who wish to live on campus. However, placement priority will be given to first-year students before housing assignments for upper-class students are finalized.
When bed space demand is higher than bed space availability, the University may utilize a Standby List process to assign bed space that may open up through contract cancellations.
Note: Current residents with an existing Fall 2026-Spring 2027 Housing Contract, do NOT need to submit a Spring Only 2027 Housing Contract.

September 14, 2026 in the myHousing portal
Who Can Submit A Contract:
Any admitted UNF student who plans to register for Spring 2027 classes and wants to live on campus.
Steps to Submit A Contract
(Action Required by Student)
- Go to the myHousing portal
- Fully complete the Spring Only 2027 Housing Contract
- Pay the $100 non-refundable processing fee
Note: The earlier you submit a completed contract, the more likely you will be assigned a bed space. It is first come, first serve.
Important Notes
- No guarantees on room type, building, or preferences — they are noted as requests.
- Contracts will be accepted until December 1, 2026, unless all beds fill up earlier.
- Check your UNF email regularly and the MyHousing portal for assignment updates.
What To Expect
The process to ultimately receive a bed assignment is a multi-step process and requires students to take specific required actions.
Assignments (Handled by Housing and Residence Life):
The Department of Housing and Residence Life will make all assignments for Spring 2027 based on contract submission date.
All students will be assigned to partially occupied rooms/suite/apartments as the vast majority of Fall 2026 residents will return for Spring 2027. While Housing and Residence Life will take into account each student’s preferences, assignment to a specific type of accommodation (community, room type, etc.) or assignment to any preference indicated by student are requests only and not guaranteed.
Housing and Residence Life staff will begin making assignments behind the scenes as early as November 6. Students that have contracted prior to the deadline, will receive updates being in early December.
Move-In (Required Action by Assigned Students):
Housing move-in will occur on Monday, January 4, 2027. Residents will receive a move-in appointment for January 4, 2027 between 9 a.m. - 12 noon. You must check-in at the Osprey Clubhouse (building 17) to receive access to your room on or after your assigned move-in appointment.
Plan to arrive after Monday, January 4, 2026. Check the emails you receive in December for specific updates. All move-in details will be sent Wednesday, December 16, 2026 directly to the student's UNF email.
Housing and Residence Life cannot accommodate early arrivals prior to January 4, 2027. Visit the University of North Florida campus travel webpage for a listing of preferred UNF area hotels if there is a desire or need to be in the UNF area prior to your assigned move-in appointment.
The Department of Housing and Residence Life will be open and operating during normal business hours each Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. while the University is open.
