Miguel is new to UNF Housing & Residence Life! He received his Bachelor of Science in Sports & Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University (WT) and his Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Miguel's previous involvements include Residence Hall Association (RHA), Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, Student Government, and Volunteer Services Department. At different points in his career, Miguel has worked for various non-profit organizations, such as the YMCA and Break Away. Miguel also volunteers with Toastmasters International. His hobbies include kickboxing, playing video games, as well as watching YouTube videos; he describes himself as a Marvel “nerd” and plans on doing deep dives into different superheroes and examine their leadership styles for a future podcast series.

Olivia (she/her/hers) recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with dual bachelor's degrees in Social Work and Psychology. During this time, Olivia learned about her passions through several on-campus roles as a Peer Health Educator, Security Coordinator, Orientation Leader and her personal favorite, as a Resident Assistant. She also served in the Milwaukee community as a Residential Support Specialist at Meta House, a local non-profit social service agency. Olivia looks forward to pursuing her Master's in Social Work at UNF, where she will gain more experience in her passion of helping marginalized communities. She is eager to continue connecting and giving back to students while exploring the UNF and Jacksonville communities!

Becki is a returning Osprey! Becki earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology from Western Illinois University, and her Master's of Science in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student Affairs right here at UNF. After earning her Master's degree, Becki served as a Hall Coordinator at the University of New Mexico and a Residence Life Coordinator at the University of West Florida. In her free time, Becki enjoys yoga, watching hockey, baking and collecting vinyl records.

Destiny or Des is from Orange Park, FL. She recently graduated with her Bachelor of Art in Psychology with minors in African Diaspora and Social Welfare. Des is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work. Before attending UNF, Des had the pleasure of attending Howard University, which is a HBCU (Historically Black College/University). At Howard, Des was on the track and field team, where she competed in shotput, discus, hammer and weight throw! During her undergraduate years at UNF, Des has served at the President of the Black Student Union, a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, an Event Coordinator for Osprey Life and Productions and a Resident Assistant for Housing and Residence Life. Des loves to eat, cook, sleep and watch horror movies. One of Des’s best moments at UNF, was having the opportunity to be a personal assistant for B.O.B during Ozfest and personally meet Fivio Foreign and Young Gravy! Fun Fact: Des has three citizenships. She is a citizen of the United Kingdom, The Bahamas and The United States of America.

Armani recently graduated from UNF with her Bachelor of Social Work, with her minor in Sociology. She completed her internship at the Dean of Students Office, as a Student Support Specialist. Now, she is pursuing her Master of Social Work Degree, hoping to become an advocate for others. As a student, Armani was a member of the Student Conduct Board and reviewed student conduct cases in their relation to the expectations of the Student Code of Conduct and the UNF community. She also contributed to the Department of Housing and Residence Life for three years, serving as a Resident Assistant, Welcome Desk Receptionist and Mailroom Assistant. Apart from being a student, Armani likes to watch reruns of her favorite TV shows and movies. She also likes to cook, sing and make music in her spare time.

Ariel is from the country of Guyana, in South America. She started her adult journey pursuing a B.S. in Biology in Fayetteville, NC. It was there that she discovered her passion for the exciting and now familiar world of Residence Life. Ariel knew she wanted to further her education and went on to pursue an MBA in Healthcare Administration which helped her realize she could apply her passion for helping others wherever she is planted. Ariel has a penchant for plants with a special interest in biophilic home designs, a taste for teas with a willingness to try any tea at least once, and a yearning for yoga with the goal of transferring her flexibility in daily life to her yoga mat through osmosis. Ariel looks forward to adding her skills to the UNF Housing and Residence Life team and being part of a wonderful group of individuals, truly making a difference!

Amy recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) with a dual bachelor's in Communication Studies and German, and a certificate in Cultures & Communities. During her time at UWM, she served in four different Residence Life positions and tried out Orientation for a summer, but continued to favor her supportive and interactive role as an RA. She also took a semester away from her role to do the Disney College Program, where she fell in love with spending time in the water and visiting theme parks. At UNF, she’s excited to combine a focused curriculum with practical experience as an ARLC pursuing an M.S. in Higher Education Administration - all while exploring everything that UNF and Jacksonville have to offer!

Jeremy went to La Roche University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied Communications Media and Technology with a minor in Graphic Design. He was an RA in undergrad and did many miscellaneous jobs all over campus. He was known as a jack of all trades both as a student and as an employee. Over the past year he started his Masters in HR, that he would love to eventually continue. Photography is one of many hobbies, along with radio production/podcasting.

Emily Martinez received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Valdosta State University as well as her Master of Business Administration in 2022. Since 2017, she has worked several different roles in housing including Front Desk Worker, Residence Hall Director, Facilities & Operations Graduate Assistant and Marketing & PR Graduate Assistant. In her free time, she loves watching reality tv shows, hanging out with friends and family and trying new recipes.

Ezra graduated from the University of Florida with dual degrees in Spanish and International Studies, with a regional concentration in African Studies. Prior to arriving at UNF, Ezra has worked as a Resident Coordinator in Yellowstone National Park, a Spanish teacher in Gainesville, FL, and, once, as an upscale chocolate consultant. Ezra loves to travel, and spent three semesters abroad during his undergraduate studies. In his free time, Ezra loves to read, cook, or do anything outdoors that involves the water.

Jesse Jones was born here in Jacksonville, FL and raised in East Chicago, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Policy from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Some of his previous experiences include working for the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) and Edward Waters University (Florida's first and oldest HBCU). He loves to travel and he loves food! Some places he has traveled to include: Mexico, Guatemala, Rwanda, Africa and Jamaica. His favorite food is seafood. He is looking forward to connecting with and supporting students here on campus.

Gabby is a recent graduate at the University of North Florida, receiving two bachelor's degrees in International Studies and Spanish, along with a minor in Art History. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a Resident Assistant in Osprey Cove with her wonderful coworkers and residents, supporting her colleagues and fellow students. She’s now in the process of earning her master's in International Affairs and has experience working at the UNF International Center as an Assistant Study Abroad Coordinator. In her free time Gabby enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, cooking, and gardening. If you want to start your own garden, she may just give you some plant clippings to help you out! In addition, Gabby enjoys using her creativity and heart to her advantage by creating events and projects that develop and sustain a thriving residential community here at UNF.

William White (Him/Him/His) is from Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree of Strategic Communications. William was recently admitted to Graduate school to begin his studies in Adult & Higher Education-Talent Development, M.Ed. program. Before joining the UNF Housing and Residence Life Team, William White had the pleasure of working in residence life and housing in Oklahoma and in Pennsylvania. During his undergrad, William served his campus community as a Hall Council Member, Tour Guide and Resident Assistant. He was also a Project Speak Educator and worked with peers to educate his college campus on domestic violence, sexual assault prevention and student safety. Some of his areas of passion include student mental health and wellness, student programming/activities and student safety.

William values community involvement and values working with nonprofit organizations and has worked and volunteered for organizations that serve youth and underserved populations. William enjoys nature, so you can usually find him outside walking and listening to music. William is a life learner and values experiences of love and growth. Some of his personal areas of interest include Minimalism and Taoism; a Chinese tradition of philosophy that advocates for humility, harmony and peace. He also enjoys swimming, outdoor adventures, eating out, cartoons, campy horror movies and spending time with his two dogs. Fun fact: William White comes from a big family of nine siblings. He is a triplet, and his birth story was featured in a tv news segment in Oklahoma City.
