CURRENT RESIDENTS: Housing Information for Fall 2026 - Spring 2027

This category is comprised of current UNF students living on campus Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026.

Housing and Residence Life wants YOU to continue living with us in Fall 2026 - Spring 2027! It’s an exciting time on campus as we grow and prepare for your bright future!

Students who currently live on campus are given initial opportunity to select upper-class housing options, including Osprey Fountains, Osprey Village, and The Flats at UNF.

Any CURRENT RESIDENT who has a desire to live on-campus for the 2026 - 2027 academic year should submit their housing contract no later than FEBRUARY 2, 2026.

Please note, the timeline for CURRENT RESIDENTS to take advantage of this opportunity is very tight! On December 1, 2025 the opportunity to submit a housing contract will expand to all other upper-class students NOT currently living on campus.

Any CURRENT RESIDENT living in Osprey Fountains, Osprey Village and The Flats at UNF who fully submits the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 Housing Contract prior to January 16, 2026 will be pre-assigned by Housing and Residence Life to their same bedspace for Fall 2026 -  Spring 2027.

PREASSIGNMENT FOR CURRENT RESIDENTS (SAME BEDSPACE)

What to know to prepare:

  • Not all bedspaces are eligible for preassignment. Some spaces are reserved for departmental needs, including medical/disability accommodations, Living-Learning and Theme Communities, and student staff housing.
  • Housing and Residence Life will determine which spaces are eligible for preassignment.
  • If you're preassigned to one of these designated spaces, you'll still have the opportunity to keep or change your assignment during the online room selection process.
  • Students selected for preassignment will be notified via email before room selection begins.
    • As a reminder, ALWAYS check your UNF email for important Housing and Residence Life next steps and actions required to secure a preferred bedspace.
  • The process to ultimately receive a bed assignment is a multiple step process and requires students to take specific required actions.

Follow the steps below:

STEP 1 (Required):

Fully submit the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 Housing Contract in myHousing as early as possible.

The earlier a student fully completes all steps of the housing contract submission process in myHousing, the higher chance the student has to participate in the online room selection process.

STEP 2 (Optional):

Complete the Living-Learning/Theme Community application.

Living-Learning and Theme Communities offer a fun, supportive and meaningful way to build lasting connections and feel at home on campus.

For information on communities please visit Living-Learning and Theme Community webpage.

STEP 3 (Required):

Mark your calendar for online room selection process.

To choose your priority bedspace, fully participate in the scheduled online room selection process. If you miss your ticket window, your chance of selecting your preferred bedspace is lessened. Please note that simply not participating does not release you from the terms and conditions of your signed housing contract.

Online Room Selection Process Begins:                               Begins March 4, 2026

Check back in February 2026 for more information

STEP 4 (Required):

Schedule a move-in appointment via myHousing.

Information on the move-in process and how to schedule a move-in appointment will be released mid-July 2026.

Living-Learning and Theme Community (LLCTC) participants move-in will occur via appointment on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. We will not allow any early move-ins into any space prior to the designated date of August 12th, 2025. Plan in advance and secure a hotel in the area for your early arrival. Visit the following link for a listing of hotels in the area: UNF Campus Travel webpage.

Move-in for the remaining students (Non-LLCTC students) will occur via appointment on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Plan on arriving at your scheduled appointment time, we will not be able to allow any early move-ins into any space prior to the designated date of August 15th, 2025. Visit the following link for a listing of hotels in the area: UNF Campus Travel webpage.

Housing Areas

What type of areas will be available during the online room selection process?

When the online room selection process begins, you can expect to see the following room types. As the online room selection process continues hour-by-hour students can anticipate the number of available rooms/beds in each facility will decrease as students participate in the process.

Osprey Fountains

Approximately 850 bed spaces. Approximately half of the bed spaces will be for females and half for males. All suites will be private bedrooms with shared bathrooms in 4 or 5 person suites. Some Osprey Fountains bedspaces will initially be limited to participants in Living-Learning/Theme Communities. To view floorplans and walkthroughs of the spaces please visit the Osprey Fountains webpage.

Osprey Village

Approximately 420 bed spaces.  Approximately half of the beds will be for females and half for males.  Approximately 200 of these bed spaces are in 1-bedroom apartments (2 students per bedroom). The other approximately 220 bed spaces are in 2-bedroom apartments (2 students per bedroom). To view floorplans and walkthroughs of the spaces please visit the Osprey Village webpage.

The Flats at UNF

Approximately 474 bed spaces. Approximately half of the apartments and beds will be for females and half for males. Approximately 192 of these bed spaces are in 2-bedroom apartments. Approximately 282 bed spaces are in 3-bedroom apartments. To view floorplans and walkthroughs of the spaces please visit the The Flats at UNF webpage.

  • Please note, students who select a bedspace at The Flats at UNF will be in a longer-term Housing Contract that includes Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.
  • The Flats at UNF contract is approx. a 11.5-month contract, paid in 12 rent installments.

Do Consider Living at The Flats at UNF if…

  • You need year-round housing (fall, spring and summer)
  • You appreciate the ability to make rent installments
  • You want traditional apartment living with an individual contract

Don't Consider Living at The Flats at UNF if…

  • You do not anticipate the need for year-round housing (fall, spring and summer)
  • You will be engaging in an internship, student teaching/practicum or study-abroad experience that will take you away from Jacksonville
  • You will be graduating at the end of the fall or spring semester and plan to leave Jacksonville

Osprey Ridge

It is anticipated that the majority of Osprey Ridge will be Honors Living-Learning/Theme Housing space for first-year and upper-class Honors students for Fall 2026 -Spring 2027.  Current Honors students interested in living in Osprey Ridge should submit the 2026-2027 Living-Learning/Theme Community (LLC/TC) Application. In your LLC/TC application, indicate your preference for Honors Horizons or Global Honors Theme Communities.

Preparing for Upper-Class Room Selection

Between now and February 2026, Current Residents with a completed housing contract will need to ensure they have read and completed the following, as applicable:

  1. Ensure ALL room and roommate preferences within myHousing are up to date.
  2. Search AND mutually accept your desired roommate(s) in myHousing. Please note the following:
    1. Both you AND your desired roommate(s) must be in the same Roommate Group to be considered as a mutual request.
    2. It is important to be pro-active in accepting or declining roommates within myHousing to prevent any issues during the Room Selection process.
    3. Some rooms/apartments/suites and/or individual bed spaces may not be available for assignment during the room selection process due to Living-Learning Communities, Theme Housing, ADA needs, etc. Housing and Residence Life will communicate directly with students impacted by their space being unavailable prior to the online room selection process.
  3. If you are seeking a medical or disability accommodation, please contact the UNF Student Accessibility Center.
