Summer Exchange programs see productive stretch

Geography and Economics students during a tripTwenty UNF Coggin undergraduates under the supervision of professors Dr. Russell Triplett and Dr. Nilufer Ozdemir spent a week in Germany and Belgium in May for a study abroad project.

The theme of the excursion was European economic policy in comparative perspective. The trip involved more than just theoretical study as students met with representatives from the European Monetary System, European Parliament, European Commission and the Council of the European Union.

“Discussion topics were wide-ranging and included energy policy, fiscal rules, financial regulation, and immigration. The program also included a day visiting with faculty and students at Technische Hochschule Koln in Cologne, Germany, a UNF partner institution,” said Dr. Triplett, who is also the Chair of the Coggin College of Business Economics and Geography Department .

Meanwhile, more than 30 students participated in the Coggin College of Business study abroad programs this summer in Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Spain, or Uruguay.
