The UNF Logistics & Supply Chain Management Case Competition was held at UNF in the final week of March and April 1 as eight universities from across the country sent students to the event.

Students competed on proposals for Supply Chain and Logistics issues facing the changing industry.

“The impact will be long lasting on the careers of the students that participated, and I’m sure the network they are building will serve them well in the future,” said Lynn Brown, the Coordinator of the IANA Case Competition at UNF’s Coggin College.

The top teams awarded in the competition include:

  • First place – University of Wisconsin Superior, Matthew Thompson, Laura Kumiatsu, Kallahan Kappes.
  • Second place – University of Maryland, Gabriel Nieto, Lillian Grant, Jeremy Jablonover.
  • Third place – State University of New York Maritime College, Prasad Abhinadan, Maeve Laver, Stephen Ladanza.

“The University of North Florida is the perfect institution to host this event,” Dr. Buttimer said. “The Coggin College of Business really is in the middle of it all when it comes to the transportation and logistics field.
