Coggin College secures AACSB accreditation
The AACSB Board of Directors agreed to the five-year accreditation extension in early April. The move came after a recommendation from Peer Review Teams. Peer Review involved multiple interviews and visits on campus as faculty, students, and staff met the teams representing the AACSB.
Coggin College Dean Richard Buttimer said the accreditation extension was a major achievement.
“This is a huge accomplishment for everybody in the College, and I deeply appreciate all of the work that each of you did to make this happen,” Dr. Buttimer said.
“This was, by far, the smoothest AACSB PRT visit that I have been through in my nearly 30 years of being a business school faculty member. This was due entirely to the efforts that our faculty, staff, and students made during this process, and I am deeply appreciative of your effort,” said Dr. Buttimer.
Only 6% of all business schools worldwide are accredited by the AACSB.
