Student Conduct Forgiveness Process

The Student Conduct Record Forgiveness process allows students who have been found responsible for violations of the Student Code of Conduct to request a review of their case files in order to potentially have them removed from their record. Any additional violations committed after a student's record has been reviewed and forgiven will reinstate the original record.

Overview of the Process

Student Submits their Record Forgiveness Request

A student conduct record may be forgiven upon submission and review of appropriate documentation to the Dean of Students Office. Requests should be submitted to the Office in writing, who will verify that the record forgiveness request is in compliance with subsection (1). Forgiveness requests apply only to behavioral conduct and academic misconduct, not grades.

Records Review Committee Meets

The Records Review Committee, appointed by the Provost/Designee, and comprised of faculty, staff, and students will review and make a recommendation to the Provost/Designee.

Decision Letter is sent to Student

The Provost/Designee will provide a decision to the student, in writing, 15 class days of receipt of the request.
