Engagement
The Engagement team supports the Office by providing ways for faculty, staff, and students to participate in “outside-the-classroom” learning by providing the following:
Student Conduct Board (“SCB”)
The Student Conduct Board is critical to upholding the UNF Student Code of Conduct in conjunction with FL. Stat. §1006.60 setting a Panel Hearing as the default option for a student’s due process. The Student Conduct Board is made up of faculty, staff, and students who have been trained through a three-part process.
Training Institute
The Training Institute was designed to help educate students about important and prevalent topics that arise in the Dean of Students Office. Events can be active or passive and include a monthly interactive Talking Series and a blog-style Spotlight Series.
Educational Initiatives
Our team monitors student trends with campus partners to ensure additional large-scale and relevant educational initiatives are offered to students to promote continued positive development, including the Informed Ospreys Program and kNOw MORE: The Red Zone.
Informed Osprey Program
The Informed Ospreys Program (IOP) provides foundational knowledge about important campus topics to our new Ospreys and offers ongoing educational opportunities to students interested in expanding their holistic development. The IOP allows students to earn their wings before they leave the nest.
