The mission and goal of the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics is to be a world-leader in transportation and logistics research and education providing highly trained students for the global supply chain.
The Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics was established in 2021 in the name of one of the world’s leading supply-chain corporations, Crowley Maritime, based in Jacksonville.
Crowley Maritime contributed a $2.5 million endowment to the Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida for the establishment of the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics. This endowment provides company funding for education; leadership; faculty support; visiting scholars; industry research; the pursuit of federally funded grants and contracts; and student recruitment in the areas of transportation, logistics, data analytics and course development.
Through a $2.5 million endowment from Crowley, the company will help fund the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics, including, but not limited to, education and leadership, faculty support, visiting scholars, pertinent industry research, the pursuit of federally funded grants and contracts, student recruitment in the areas of transportation, logistics, data analytics, and course development.
The Coggin College of Business transportation and logistics program is considered among the best in the nation. Students will learn about state-of-the-art supply chain tools and solutions through the high-tech Logistics Solutions lab.
