Experience life on campus and set yourself up for success through the Osprey First Summer Pathway Program. This on-campus, in-person program takes place during the 2026 Summer B term (June 22 – July 31, 2026) and gives you a head start on college life. We will be with you every step of the way helping you prepare for your future as an Osprey!

What GPA must I have at the conclusion of the program? (Summer 2026 requirements)
Please review the following important GPA requirements. Your GPA will affect your enrollment status and fall term registration.
- 3.0 GPA or higher* :
- $500 Fall 2025 scholarship (Scholarship eligibility also requires participation in Osprey First events throughout the Summer).
- Eligible to enroll full-time in Fall 2026
- 2.5 - 2.99 GPA*:
- Eligible to enroll full-time in Fall 2026
- Under 2.5 GPA*:
- Eligible to enroll part-time (11 or fewer credit hours) in Fall 2026**
*Minimum GPA requirements are based on graded coursework with no grades below a "C"
**Part time status may affect scholarship and/or financial aid eligibility. - 3.0 GPA or higher* :

What other requirements must be met to successfully complete the program?
To successfully complete the program, you must:
- Complete both Osprey First courses (six credit hours) with a C-grade or better
- Participate in required enrichment activities
- You cannot receive a grade or status of NG, W, U, S or I

How do I secure my spot?
Secure your spot in the Osprey First program!
Students who apply for our summer or fall term, and whose GPA and test scores meet the criteria for this alternate admission path, will be automatically admitted into the Osprey First program.
Whether you are admitted to Osprey First or the traditional term is dependent on the criteria and what is determined by the Office of Admissions to be the best fit for you.
- Submit the admission deposit, or waiver if applicable, via your applicant portal.
- Register for New Student Orientation.

Can I decline the Osprey First Summer Pathway acceptance and still be admitted to UNF?
If you applied for summer or fall term and are accepted into the Osprey First program, you must participate in the program or your admission will be canceled. Students are admitted to the Osprey First program because we believe it is the best path to student success. Upon successful completion of Osprey First, you will be able to enroll in fall classes.
Students who do not want to participate are welcome to reapply for a future term as a transfer student.

Can I live on campus during the Summer term?
Living on campus is not required, but is recommended to fully immerse yourself in the program. Students who choose to live on campus will need a housing contract for the Summer B session*. Though you don't have to live on campus, keep in mind that the program is in-person and takes place on campus.
Housing can fill quickly so it is recommend you submit your housing contract as early as possible.
*Students planning to live on campus for Fall 2026/Spring 2026 will need to also submit a Fall housing contract, in addition to their Summer contract.

What if I have already earned college credits through Dual Enrollment, AP, IB and/or AICE?
If you have already earned college credit through dual enrollment, AP, IB or AICE, you can still participate in Osprey First. In fact, Osprey First was designed to be flexible so students like you can maximize the benefits of the program to fit your educational goals.
Students in the Osprey First program will be pre-registered into on-campus course. These course include general education requirements in English, math, social sciences and the humanities.
During New Student Orientation, your academic advisor meet with you to discuss your areas of strength, your career goals, and college credit you have earned from accelerated mechanisms. Your academic advisor will continue to work with you throughout your first year to help ensure you soar to success.

Is there an online option for the Osprey First program?
No; due to the comprehensive nature of the program, both inside and outside of the classroom, Osprey First is an in-person program on UNF's campus.
