Go Ospreys! The Office of Student Life encourages all student ospreys to participate in on-campus events and activities to expand their social development, school spirit and fulfilling college life experience. Student Life strives for inclusion of all students while serving 1000+ students at our events. Student Life organizes week of welcome events for Fall, Spring and Summer, Spirit Week, and the student side of Homecoming.  All of which are designed to help new and returning students discover the campus, find new friends, meet people who can help them get involved at UNF, and gain an affinity for Osprey Pride.

Flight School

First Year students are encouraged to come to Flight School to be welcomed to campus, meet more of their peers, learn different UNF traditions, and learn what it means to be an Osprey.

Each of these weeks is at the start of the semester. We host events for all students to enjoy doing things such as activities, games, music, and of course food.

Flight School

Flight School is a fall event designed for first year and transfer students. It provides a warm welcome to campus, opportunities to connect with peers, an introduction to UNF traditions, and a deeper understanding of what it means to be an Osprey.

Week of Welcome

Week of Welcome kicks off at the start of each semester—fall, spring, and summer—to welcome back returning students and introduce new Ospreys to campus life. This exciting series features some of our most beloved events, including the Welcome to College Block Party, The Cookout, Blue Years, Pep Rallies, and more!

OzFest

Want to know the event of the year that everyone is buzzing about? Look no further than OzFest, our highly anticipated annual Spring Concert! This event brings top artists right to the UNF campus, giving students the chance to see amazing performances from top artist up close. One of the most exciting parts? The winning band from Battle of the Bands gets the incredible opportunity to open before our headlining performers! OzFest is the ultimate event you won’t want to miss—it’s the highlight of the year!

Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest has been a cherished UNF tradition since 1972! Students can enjoy root beer, butterbeer, lively traditional performances, delicious treats, and more—all with a unique UNF twist that makes this event truly unforgettable!
The Office of Student Life fosters a welcoming and engaging environment for students outside the classroom. The Mission is carried out through designing student engagement opportunities within campus programs, personal interactions and intentional collaborations. The Office of Student Life provides a positive experience to retain students and promotes life-long learning.
  • Mission

    The Office of Student Life supports student success and is committed to creating interactive and immersive experiences for the UNF campus community. We are developing impactful programming and event marketing focused on the holistic development of students while enriching students’ sense of belonging to UNF through positive expression of school spirit and Osprey pride. Internally, our office develops and advises student leaders through problem solving real-life experiences to create well rounded professionals after graduation.

    Enhancing the campus environment by focusing on unique programming to create affinity for the University through our two groups of student leaders:

    1. Osprey Life: creates campus and student programming and
    2. The Flock: creates opportunities for school spirit and traditions.
