While the Apply in July event is no longer offered, it has been reimagined as Soar into Senior Year - a stronger, more refreshed experience that helps students start their college journey early with added guidance, perks and momentum.
Start senior year with confidence by applying early to the University of North Florida. The freshman application for Summer and Fall 2027 is now open. Students who submit an application and all required materials by Sept. 2 will receive an early non-binding admission decision by Sept. 16.
Why Apply Early?
Applying early gives you a head start and access to exclusive benefits, including:
- Eligibility to waive the $200 admission deposit, if admitted, when the application and all required materials are received by July 31
- Priority consideration for scholarships with awarding beginning in October
- Priority financial aid awarding for students who submit the 2027–28 FAFSA by Oct. 15
- Early access to apply to the Hicks Honors College
- Early access to submit an on-campus housing contract
- Less stress and more time to plan your next steps

How to Apply to UNF
- Complete and submit UNF’s online application or through CommonApp (opens Aug. 1).
- Pay the nonrefundable $30 application fee (if you have an application fee waiver, you can upload it through your applicant portal after submitting your application).
- If submitting high school grades in July 2026, upload your high school transcript to your applicant portal, along with any AP, IB, AICE or dual enrollment transcripts. If submitting after August 1, complete the Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS).
- Submit your SAT, CLT and/or ACT scores in the applicant portal. Upload a PDF copy of your SAT, ACT or CLT scores through the portal, or send scores directly from College Board using UNF code 5490, ACT using UNF code 0711 or CLT.

Free Summer Test Prep at UNF
Kick off your senior year preparation with free standardized test prep sessions designed for students seeking extra support before test day. Sessions help students prepare for the ACT, SAT and CLT through guided review, test-taking strategies and practice problems focused on math and English. Visit UNF - Tour Campus & Get Expert Application Assistance
Prospective students are invited to visit campus during the summer for a guided tour and personalized admissions support. During these visits, students can explore UNF’s campus, connect one-on-one with an admissions recruiter and receive assistance submitting their application and materials by the Sept. 2 priority deadline.
