Dean of the Graduate School HeadshotMichele J. Moore, Ph.D. | Dean of the Graduate School

Dr. Michele Johnson Moore is Dean of the Graduate School at the University of North Florida. Previously she served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Health. Since starting at UNF in 1999, Dr. Moore has also served as the Master of Public Health program director, worked on many federally funded grant projects, participated in community-based research and service, co-authored numerous peer reviewed manuscripts and presentations, and taught a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. She has received the UNF Distinguished Professor Award, Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award and Outstanding Faculty Scholarship Award. Dr. Moore earned both her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Florida, where she was honored by the College of Health & Human Performance as an Outstanding Young Alumni and inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of West Georgia, where her work remains on display in the Wolves' Campus Center. She began her career in graphic and instructional design within the corporate financial consulting sector, where she developed a strong foundation in visual communication and user-centered design. Her interest in strategic management and consumer behavior led her to earn an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University. Today, she thrives at the intersection of creative design and data-driven decision-making, with a focus on process improvement and building meaningful user experiences. In 2025, she made the move to the sunny shores of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, to join the University of North Florida. This transition reflects her commitment to higher education and her belief in the power of accessible, inclusive information. A champion of servant leadership, Stephanie is driven by the desire to empower others—whether through thoughtful design, strategic planning, or simply making knowledge easier to reach.

Ada Vaughn |Graduate Admissions Evaluator

For over 13 years, Ada Vaughn has been a dedicated and influential member of the University of North Florida's Graduate School. Starting as an OPS receptionist, she has also served as an administrative secretary and grown into the vital role of Graduate Admissions Evaluator, where her knowledge and commitment make a lasting impact on students and the institution alike. Ada is known for her unwavering dedication to student success. She takes pride in guiding prospective students through admissions with professionalism, warmth, and a deep sense of purpose. Her favorite part of the job is helping students take meaningful steps toward achieving their academic and professional goals. Ada is a respected colleague and compassionate mentor who plays a critical role in shaping the graduate admissions experience. Her attention to detail and care for others embody the values of the Graduate School. Outside work, Ada enjoys relaxing at the beach and spending cherished time with her family.

Delores Irvin is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with 20 years of service and a longtime member of the UNF community. She began her career at UNF in 1998 in the Department of Nursing. She has since served in several key administrative roles across the university, including in the Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health, and Psychology. In May 2024, she joined the Graduate School as Coordinator of Graduate Operations. Known for her unwavering dedication to students, Delores takes pride in encouraging them through their academic journey and celebrating their success at graduation. Her guiding words are: “Believe in yourself, count your blessings, live by faith, grow in grace, and walk in love.”

Lucy Hollins is the University of North Florida’s Graduate School Coordinator. Before her role here, she worked as the Special Projects Coordinator for the Digital Humanities Institute. Beginning her work at UNF as an undergraduate, she enrolled in the Accelerated BA to MA in English program, where she focused on Rhetoric and Composition, graduated with distinction, and forged many lifelong connections. During this time, she completed a project coordinating with the faculty and students of COAS to highlight the gravity and importance of the humanities. She also teaches undergraduate courses at the university. She looks forward to a lifetime in higher education. Lucy has found her home at UNF between her coordinator position at the Graduate School and teaching for the English Department.

Ashley Allen is a graduate assistant at the University of North Florida’s Graduate School. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration and is planning to graduate in Spring 2027. Committed to public service, Ashley has worked with non-profit organizations, as well as conducted research on government organizations and their effect on rural populations. Ashley received her bachelor's degree in Sociology, with a minor in Business Administration, from Louisiana State University, and she hopes to use her experience and knowledge gained from both institutions to further dedicate herself to public service.

Anna Blackwood is a Graduate Assistant in the Graduate School at the University of North Florida, where she has supported prospective and current students since August 2023. A dedicated and approachable team member, Anna enjoys guiding students through the admissions process and helping them navigate their education journey. She is currently pursuing her MS in the CMHC program and brings a student-centered perspective to her role.

Kaylie Culbreath is a graduate assistant for the UNF graduate school. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health here at UNF and is planning to graduate in Summer 2026. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science in 2024 from California State University, San Marcos. Since arriving at UNF, she has greatly enjoyed being involved on campus and has worked with organizations such as the Student Health Clinic to promote health education. She feels incredibly fortunate to be part of such a great team at the Graduate School and hopes to use her experience to pursue a future career in public health.

Hayden Mason is an OPS employee for the Graduate School who has worked as an assistant since January 2024. He recently graduated from the UNF Coggin College of Business with his bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence. He greatly enjoys helping graduate students through the admissions process, working to troubleshoot complex technical problems, and assisting his colleagues at the Graduate School.
