Planning & Registration Instructions

Logging in to the UNF Registration System:

  • Access the UNF Registration System by logging in to myWings
  • Select Student under the left "My Resources" menu
    • If you are on a mobile device, select the Student tile
  • Select the Registration tab
    • If you are on a mobile device, select the Register tab
  • Select the Course Registration button

Planning for Registration

Planning for a future registration term allows students to add courses to a plan to create an easier registration experience once registration begins. If you have any questions about your academic plan or want to know what classes you need to take, please reach out to your academic advisor.

1. Navigating the UNF Planning System

  • Once logged in to the UNF Registration System, select the Plan Ahead link.
  • Select the future academic term you will be registering in and select Continue.
  • Select Create a New Plan.

2. Searching for Courses to Add to Your Plan

  • Search for courses by entering in the desired Subject, Course Number, and/or Keyword.
    • You can also use the Advanced Search drop-down for more search options.
  • Select Search.

Please Note: While searching for and exploring course options, you can click the course title links to view further course details. This includes the course description, prerequisites, restrictions, and more!

3. Adding Courses to Your Plan

  • Click either View Sections or Add Course to add the selected course to your plan. The View Sections button will only be available once the academic schedule has posted per the UNF Academic Calendar.
    • View Sections: Displays a list of all class sections for the selected term. An individual class section can be added to your plan. The section will appear in your plan window when selected.
    • Add Course: Adds the course to your plan without selecting a specific class section. The course will appear in your plan window when selected. During registration you will be able to view and select the desired class section.

4. Completing Your Plan

  • Once all courses have been added to your plan, select Save Plan.
  • Give a name to your plan and select Save.
  • Your plan can now be accessed in the Plans tab under the Register for Classes link.

Registering for Classes

You will only be able to register for classes once the registration window opens and your time tickets starts. For more information about your time ticket, please see our Registration Guide webpage. For registration dates and deadlines, please refer to the UNF Academic Calendar.

1. Navigating the UNF Registration System

  • Once logged in to the UNF Registration System, select the Register for Classes link.
  • Select the academic term that you want to register in and select Continue.

Error Messages: If you see an error message after this step, you likely have a hold preventing registration. You will need to clear any holds before you can proceed with registration.

2. Searching for Classes for Registration

  • If you have previously created a plan, select the Plans tab.
  • If you have not created a plan, you can either search for classes by CRN under the Enter CRNs tab or search for classes under the Find Classes tab.
  • Classes that have been added will now appear in the Schedule window and the Summary window of the UNF Registration System.
  • To register in those classes, click the Submit button at the bottom right corner of the Summary window.

3. Confirming Registration

  • After clicking Submit, each class should have a Status of Registered.
  • If there are any registration errors, they will be shown in the Status column. Action will need to be taken on these classes. All other classes will be successfully registered.
  • To drop/remove a class or be placed on a section wait list, use the drop-down under the Action column. Once the desired action is selected, click Submit again.

Important Registration Notes

  • Conditional Add and Drop
    • Before submitting any registration changes, you have the option to select the Conditional Add and Drop checkbox. This feature allows students to drop a class, but only with the condition that they are able to successfully add a different selected class. This prevents a class from being dropped if a registration error occurs.
  • If you would like to print your schedule, from the Schedule and Options view, select the print icon, select printer options, and click Print.
  • To view your past or current academic schedule, select the "View Registration Information" link on the main UNF Registration System page.
