Final Exam Schedule

Summer Classes

There is no final exam schedule for the summer term. A final exam may be given during the last scheduled class meeting.

Fall and Spring Classes

Refer to the Academic Calendar for final exam dates of the current term. 

Final exams will be 1 hour and 50 minutes and take place in the regularly scheduled classroom (unless otherwise noted). Classes that meet only one day a week will have their final exam at the same hour and in the same place as the regularly scheduled class during final exam week (these exams are also only scheduled for 1 hour and 50 minutes).

Individual conflicts should be resolved between the student and the instructor.

Courses listed on the University course schedule as distance learning (online), hybrid (HYB), lab (courses ending in “L”), or individualized instruction (thesis, independent study, research, internship, etc.) are excluded from Final Exam scheduling.

Though distance learning courses are excluded from Final Exam scheduling, instructors may still hold a final exam during finals week. Final exams must be listed on the University course schedule and listed in the class syllabus. Please Note: Professors are not obligated to give final examinations in courses where they deem such exams are unnecessary. However, they must inform students at least one week prior to the withdrawal date if a final exam will not be given. If a final exam is not required, the final exam meeting time should be used for other course-related activities.
