Spend Summer A studying management and economics in Germany, the financial hub of the European Union. In the welcoming and lovely city of Cologne, Technische Hochschule Köln (abbreviated TH Köln) offers 2 modules, worth 3 US credits each: one on Global and European Trade and the other on the European Businesss Environment, both taught completely in English.

The GETEUROPEAN 2024 program combines in-dept knowledge of the Global and European Economy with a practical approach taking the form of company visits and guest lecturers from business leaders and European Institutions, such as the European Commission and ECB.  This summer program's goal is to bring together international and TH Köln students to provide a framework for international academic exchange and opportunities for a great variety of intercultural experiences.

  • First day of class: May 6, 2024
  • Last day of class: May 31, 2024

Note: Dates subject to minor changes. 

Additional Meeting Dates Preparatory meetings prior to travel are required as part of Coggin summer programs. Topics discussed include safety, cultural adaptation, program expectations, flight/logistical arrangements, and scholarship opportunities. Mark your calendar for the following mandatory meetings:
  1. Friday, March 29, 9 AM-12 PM
  2. Friday, April 19, 1-4 PM
  3. TBD, September 2024 (Re-entry meeting) 
 
 Subjects Students complete a total of six transfer credits while abroad:
  1. ECO3000X Global and European Trade
  2. MAN3000X European Business Environment 
           *Can substitute for ECO3704 International Trade
Prerequisite(s)   ECO2023 Principles of Microeconomics or ECO3701 The Global Economy and MAN3025 Principles of Management 

Participants Up to 12 UNF undergraduate students who meet the above prerequisites

Cost approximately $3,300

The estimated program cost includes the following:
  • Round-trip airfare
  • Lodging for the program dates
  • International health insurance for the program dates
  • Business visits and transportation
  • Cultural visits and transportation
  • Meals
The program cost does not include 6 credits of UNF summer tuition/fees and any personal travel and souvenirs.
