Welcome to the Coggin Speakers Bureau

The Coggin College of Business mission statement emphasizes students and faculty should engage in scholarly activities for the discovery and application of knowledge. The Speaker's Bureau has been created to provide alumni, faculty and the Jacksonville community an opportunity to address specific issues and to share best practices with our students.

We would like to tap into the intellectual wealth of our community through the Coggin College of Business Speaker's Bureau. Please join us in enhancing the learning experience of our students.

Speakers Bureau Catalogue

Faculty and Student Organization Information



  1. You will be connected with the speaker to discuss the speaker's topic, presentation length and format. The length of the presentation should be no longer than 45 minutes.
  2. You will be expected to meet your guest in the classroom a minimum of 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your class/club meeting and introduce the speaker to the audience.
  3. Speaker gifts should be picked up from the Dean's Office, Building 42 Room 2010, prior to the class/club meeting and presented by the faculty/student organization contact at the conclusion of the presentation.If you have any questions please contact the Dean's office at 904-620-2590 or email at
  4. A thank you note should be sent to the speaker by the faculty/student organization host.
  5. The Coggin College Speakers Bureau will assist in scheduling speakers, facilitating an introduction to faculty, confirming speaking opportunity, advertising guest on website, welcome message on lobby monitor, assist in scheduling additional appointments on campus (if needed), supplying gift and thank you card.
  6. The Speakers Bureau should be aware of any guest speakers for classes or student organizations regardless of how the speaker was scheduled. If a faculty member or student organization schedules a speaker directly, please notify the Coggin College Speakers Bureau at least one month in advance of the scheduled visit.

Please provide the following information:

  • Speaker Name, Title, Company, Biography and Photo
  • Class/Student Organization Name, Time, Date and Location

Guest Speaker Information

The University of North Florida Coggin College of Business is always seeking to provide a network for our students and practicing business professionals in the North Florida region. The Jacksonville area’s most experienced business experts are valued resources who we welcome as guest speakers at UNF. Be an example and a conduit to the real business world by serving as a guest speaker at the Coggin College of Business. When you volunteer to be part of our Speakers Bureau you provide invaluable support. You can change the lives of our students who look for an example of how to enter the commercial world. 

Below you’ll find the procedure to sign up as a contracted guest speaker at the Coggin College of Business. Thanks for your time and consideration and realize this is an opportunity to influence and create a positive impact on our future business leaders.


  1. Complete the online form labeled Sign up as a Speaker to be added to our database. It is important to indicate your areas of expertise and/or preferred topics so that you are matched with an appropriate class.
  2. Speakers are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel.
  3. Please keep in mind that professors usually finalize their class syllabus several months prior to the beginning of the semester. It is likely that it will be several months before a speaking opportunity becomes available.
  4. Once your speaking engagement has been confirmed, you will be connected with the faculty member or club leader to discuss the expectations (topic, length, format, etc.) for your presentation. Generally, presentations should be no longer than 45 minutes.
  5. You will be provided with information on parking, room location and time prior to your scheduled visit by the Coggin College of Business Speakers Bureau.
