Women in Leadership Workshop established

The Coggin College of Business reaffirmed its commitment to diversity in the workplace with the launch of the executive workshop: “Women In Leadership: Navigating Your Path at the Pace of Today.”

The workshop is designed to elevate the impact of women business leaders. Coggin faculty lead this highly interactive workshop that offers women influencers in director and managerial positions the skills needed to navigate the business landscape. The workshop is geared to help participants hone their skills to augment career advancement at the executive level.

Dawn Russell, CCB associate professor of transportation and logistics, who has corporate experience at companies in aerospace logistics, instructed the inaugural session of the workshop and said, “My big takeaway is that we have some phenomenal and impressive women leaders in the Jacksonville business community. What really struck me is they take their skills very seriously and they’re looking for new things to do and continue to grow.”
Women leaders in companies such as CSX, SMT, NLP Logix, Sy-klone International, Crowley, Berkshire Hathaway, Borland Groover etc., have participated in the workshop. For one female leader, the workshop provided, “... a wonderful opportunity to meet new women traveling along the same path to becoming the best leaders we can be.”

The workshop is offered routinely at UNF’s downtown location. For information about upcoming dates, visit the website or contact Coggin Executive Programs at CogginExecutivePrograms@unf.edu.
