First-Year Student Housing Information for 2024/2025

Demand for on-campus bed space for first-year students is extremely high.

The 2024/2025 UNF Housing Contract for the upcoming academic year will be released in myHousing for admitted first-year students for Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 12 noon EST.

Any admitted first-year student who has a desire to live on-campus for the 2024/2025 academic year should submit their housing contract as soon as possible, but no later than May 15, 2024.

Please note, submission of a UNF Housing Contract does not guarantee a bed assignment. The earlier a student fully completes all steps of the housing contract submission process in myHousing, which includes the submission of a one-time $100.00 processing fee, the higher priority the student has to participate in the on-line room selection process. A student failing to participate in scheduled on-line room selection processes greatly lowers any priority to receive a bed space.

The process to ultimately receive a bed assignment is a multiple step process and requires students to take specific required actions.

STEP 1 (Required):

Fully submit the 2024/2025 Housing Contract in myHousing as early as possible

Students submitting their first housing contract will be required to submit a one-time non-refundable $100.00 processing fee to fully submit their housing contract

Please note, submission of a UNF Housing Contract does not guarantee a bed assignment. The earlier a student fully completes all steps of the housing contract submission process in myHousing, the higher priority the student has to participate in the on-line room selection process.

STEP 2 (Optional):

Following submission of the 2024/2025 Housing Contract in myHousing, complete the Living-Learning Community application

Please note: Once a student fully completes the Housing Contract, including payment of the $100.00 processing fee (if applicable), the student can refresh their browser and submit an Living-Learning Community application

For information on Communities please visit: https://www.unf.edu/housing/llc/index.html

STEP 3 (Required):

Fully participate in the scheduled on-line room selection process to select bed space.

Please note: A student failing to participate in a scheduled on-line room selection processes lowers the student’s overall priority to be assigned to a bedspace

First-year On-line Room Selection                            TBD (Late June 2024)

Please note, students who have an identified and connected roommate(s) in the myHousing portal, who can completely fill all beds in an entire room (double or triple) with connected roommates, have a higher priority to select and secure bedspace in the initial on-line room selection phase.

STEP 4 (Required):

Schedule a move-in appointment via myHousing.

Information on the move-in process and how to schedule a move-in appointment will be released mid-July 2024.

First-year Living-Learning Community (LLC) participants move-in will occur via appointment on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
