UNF Youth Environmental Summer Summit
The Youth Environmental Summer Summit (YESS) is a free, half day, on campus experience at the University of North Florida that brings high school students together to explore environmental topics, share ideas, and engage in collaborative, college level learning.
Over 50 high school participants gained an early preview of environmental science and environmental studies at UNF, while connecting with faculty, programs, and environmental opportunities both on campus and in the local community at the June 1, 2026 youth summit.
"The best part of the summit was the brainstorming sessions where we collaborated to think of solutions for the specific environmental problems we were assigned. Participating in the YESS summit was a really cool experience, and I will definitely apply to attend again in the future.
