Osprey Environmental Leadership Clubs
About Osprey Environmental Leadership Clubs (OELC)
The Osprey Environmental Leadership Clubs are high school-based organizations supported by UNF’s Institute of Environmental Research and Education (IERE). These chapters of clubs aim to inspire environmental stewardship and leadership among youth through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and community engagement.
Mission
To empower youth to become environmental leaders by connecting them with resources, mentorship, and hands-on experiences that promote environmental stewardship, and sustainability.
How to Join OELC
Students can join by connecting with their school’s OELC chapter or reaching out to IERE for guidance on starting a new chapter. Each club provides opportunities for leadership development, stewardship projects, and participation in UNF-hosted events such as the Youth Environmental Summer Summit.
Visit the Osprey Environmental Leadership Club website to learn more about our current chapters, how to create your own, or contact IERE to learn more!
