PORL Research Ethics
PORL is dedicated to maintaining high standards of scientific competence and integrity in conducting research and in our relations with survey respondents and our clients. PORL is proud to be a member of the American Association of Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), and all our work is performed in accordance with AAPOR standards. As members of AAPOR, the PORL's goal is to support sound and ethical practices in the conduct of survey and public opinion research. Moreover, the PORL is a charter member of the AAPOR Transparency Initiative, which seeks to improve the transparency of methodology and survey-based findings amongst research organizations.
The PORL is also a proud member of the Association of Academic Survey Research Organizations (AASRO). This organization is comprised of academic survey centers housed in universities across the country. Its aim is to support academic survey research, promote best practices in survey methodology and research integrity, and to help educate the next generation of academic survey researchers.
All PORL research is reviewed and approved by UNF's Institutional Review Board (IRB).
