The University of North Florida Department of Art, Art History and Design is a nationally accredited, creative community where ideas move from concept to impact. Through immersive studio practice, undergraduate research, global study opportunities and real-world partnerships like MOCA Jacksonville, students develop as creative thinkers, makers and visual storytellers. Guided by accomplished faculty and supported by small class sizes, our programs prepare students for meaningful careers and graduate study in the arts, design and beyond.

The Value of the Art – Where Are They Now
Devin Carvajal
Creative Content Manager and Lead Graphic Designer, Jacksonville Jaguars
From the classroom to the NFL, Devin Carvajal turns creativity into impact. A 2020 UNF graduate in Graphic Design and Digital Media, Devin leads creative content for the Jacksonville Jaguars, shaping the team’s digital identity across social media, campaigns and major league events. His work reaches millions of fans and proves that a UNF design degree can open doors at the highest level of professional sports and media.

Kodie Mahone
Art History MA Student, University of Florida | Former Lead Gallery Host, Cummer Museum
A Summa Cum Laude graduate and Outstanding Graduate Award recipient, Kodie Mahone began her museum career at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens before advancing to the University of Florida’s Art History master’s program. Her journey reflects UNF’s strength in preparing students for museum careers, graduate study and research focused on expanding access and representation in the arts.

David Main
Founder and Owner, Main Made Studios
David Main turned his passion for sculpture and fabrication into a thriving Jacksonville-based business. As founder of Main Made Studios in Atlantic Beach, he leads a full-service metal fabrication shop creating custom signage and large-scale installations for leading local brands. His story shows how UNF artists build careers through entrepreneurship, craftsmanship and community impact.
