UNF Math Competition
Overview
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Florida is hosting the UNF Math Competition for students in Grades 3–12.
This competition is designed to promote mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills by encouraging students to engage deeply with school-based mathematics. Rather than focusing on speed or memorization, the UNF Math Competition emphasizes conceptual understanding, logical thinking, and meaningful problem solving grounded in grade-level mathematics content.
The competition also aims to recognize and encourage students with strong mathematical potential while fostering connections among students, families, local schools, and the university. Through this event, the University of North Florida seeks to support long-term collaboration and educational development within the regional learning community.
