Major

The Major

The major in Interdisciplinary Studies is 36 credits (usually 12 courses). Students either construct their own theme and program of study, or they follow a faculty curated theme major. IDS 3053 Introduction to Interdisciplinary Inquiry is a required course for the major, and all students in the major must complete a Capstone Project

DIY Theme

Unique to You Students who construct their own theme consider their interests and the skills they want to build for their current and future education and career goals. A minimum of half of the program coursework must be from the College of Arts and Sciences. Students work with the Program Director and the Program Advisor to construct a program of study around their theme.
