Take the Next Steps
You've submitted your deposit; now what?
Welcome to the UNF family! Now that you've taken the exciting step of submitting your deposit, it's time to get ready for your journey ahead. This page is your go-to resource for navigating your next steps.

Review and complete the following steps:
-
1 Confirm you have submitted your admissions deposit
If you haven't done so yet, make sure you submit your admission deposit, or deposit waiver if applicable, in your applicant portal. This will save your spot at UNF! This deposit amount will be credited toward your first term's bill upon registration for courses and is non-refundable.
- Log into your applicant portal
- Select the "Home" tab
- Under the "Payment Due" section, click on the "Submit Payment" link
If you change your application term, the deposit will not be credited toward the new term's bill. However, you will not need to submit another deposit.
-
2 - Log into your myWings student portal
As an admitted student, you now have access to the myWings student portal. myWings is the main hub for our Ospreys. Check out the step-by-step guide for help with logging into myWings for the first time. -
3 - Register for New Student Orientation
To confirm your spot at UNF, you need to sign up for New Student Orientation. Incoming freshmen are required to attend Orientation, which helps you have a smooth transition to UNF and will include planning your first-term classes.
-
4 - Check Your UNF Email
You'll receive emails to your official UNF email account, which you can access through myWings. Make sure to check your UNF email regularly and complete any required tasks.
-
5 - Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships
If you want to be considered for financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. The priority deadline to submit a FAFSA, as well as scholarship applications, is January 15.
-
6 - Declare Florida Residency (Florida Residents Only)
To receive in-state tuition, you must confirm your Florida residency by submitting a Florida Residency Declaration:
- Log into your myWings student portal
- Choose "Student" on the side menu
- Select "Records"
- Click on "Residency Declaration"
-
#7 - Submit Housing and Meal Membership Contracts
