Program Outcomes

When deciding whether to start a graduate program, one question often asked is how well people who graduate from the program do in their professional careers. While these data are reported annually to NASPAA in the annual report, here is quick view for the time to graduation for each incoming class and the employment statistics, by sector, at 6-months post graduation.

Time to Complete the Program

As seen in the chart that follows, most students who enroll in the program graduate within two to three years of entering the program. The time to graduation varies between those students who are enrolled full time and those who work full time and take one to two classes per semester. To provide accurate data, the time to graduation is reported by looking at the students who entered the program five years ago, or in the 2019/20 academic year. Of the 22 students who entered the program that year, 77% graduated from the program, and the majority within 2-3 years.

The time to graduation for MPA students is with 2-3 years.

Employment Post-Graduation

Students who graduated with an MPA in the 2024/25 academic year reported employment in all sectors within six months of graduation, with the majority being employed in public (54%) and Nonprofit (23%) organizations.
