Program Design
The MPA program is flexible to meet your needs, interests, and experience.
Tracks
The MPA program offers three different tracks, depending on your work experience in the public and/or nonprofit sectors. The MPA director will review each application packet and determine which track fits the applicant's experience.
42-credits
- 21 credits: Core courses
- 18 credits: Concentration/elective courses
- 3 credits - Internship
39-credits
- 21 credits: Core courses
- 18 credits: Concentration/elective courses
36-credits
- 21 credits: Core courses
- 15 credits: Concentration/elective courses
Core Requirements (21 credits)
Concentrations
Students in the UNF MPA program have the opportunity to tailor their academic experience by selecting a concentration that best aligns with their professional goals. Each concentration includes three required courses and one elective, with a variety of elective options available to suit individual interests. To ensure the elective complements your chosen path, it must be approved by the program director, Georgette Dumont. Public Policy (12 credits)
For students who are interested in pursuing a public policy concentration, the following courses are required:

Local Government (12 credits)
For students who are interested in pursuing a local government administration concentration, the following courses are required:
Nonprofit Management (12 credits)
For students who are interested in pursuing a nonprofit management concentration, the following courses are required:

PAD6164 NPO Stakeholder Relations (3 credits)
Health Administration (12 credits)
For students who are interested in pursuing a health administration concentration, the following courses are required:
