International Studies Program Overview

Laura and Ana Ortiz

Ana Ortiz (international studies/political science, 2017) and Laura Ortiz (international studies/philosophy, 2017), after moderating "Los medios de comunicaciĆ³n y los estereotipos sobre los colombianos" in our International Mondays series on 11/27/17.

International Studies at UNF is both an academic program and an interdisciplinary community. Together we examine the economic, environmental, cultural, political and technological forces that shape today's world.

We offer a  Bachelor of Arts in International Studies , with six regional and thematic concentrations. Students in this major engage with other cultures through  foreign language study and  academic experiences abroad .  They can also gain hands-on experience through internships , both within the US and abroad.

Each semester, the International Studies Program coordinates an interdisciplinary Lecture Series organized around a central theme. We also organize International Mondays, a program of conversations on contemporary topics conducted in a variety of languages. In addition, we coordinate workshops and information sessions related to study abroadinternships and careers.
