Director of Residence Life

Amy joined the UNF family in 2018. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2005, Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Miami University in 2007, and doctorate in Leadership Studies through Marshall University with a research focus on student, faculty, and staff experiences in living-learning communities. Amy's professional interests are in student learning and development, mentoring women in the field and co-curricular programming. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, is an avid long-distance runner, enjoys anything outdoors, coffee and kayaking.

Amy oversees the residence life team. Some of her responsibilities include: supervising the two Assistant Directors of Residence Life and Residence Life Coordinator of Educational Initiatives and oversight of the living-learning communities. Amy has a dotted line to Undergraduate Studies in order to build partnerships between academic and student life departments. She also serves as a member of the Housing and Residence Life Senior Leadership team.

When to contact:

  • Student in crisis or needing assistance with a concern that cannot be resolved by in-hall staff
  • Following up with other Residence Life Staff members
  • Interest in creating a partnership for a Living-Learning Community or Theme Housing Community
  • Ideas for Academic and Educational programming
