Dr. Eddie L Collins, Jr Sociology and Anthropology Scholarship

Purpose

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide scholarship funding for University of North Florida students.

Selection Criteria

  1. Students eligible for the scholarship awards must:
    1. meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida,
    2. reside in Florida for tuition purposes,
    3. declare a major or as a sophomore an intended major in Sociology or Anthropology,
    4. earn a minimum UNF GPA of at least 3.0,
    5. complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and
    6. demonstrate financial need as defined by the University's Office of Financial Aid.
     
  2. Students selected for this scholarship award must also agree to: 
    1. enroll full-time (12 credit hours) each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of the academic year,
    2. maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0,
    3. file FAFSA form with the federal government each year,
    4. comply with all University regulations, rules, codes of conduct governing students on campus,
    5. consent to release grades to the Division of University Development and Alumni Engagement for the purpose of reporting to the donor, and
    6. remain in good standing as a student.
