Jody Taylor

Part-Time Faculty, Music Literature

Jody Taylor has a diverse academic background, holding a M.A. in English from the University of North Florida and a M.M. in Music Performance with a focus in Percussion from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she studied with Dr. Gene Koshinski. She is also trained as a Canvas Certified Educator.

 Jody Taylor previously worked at UNF teaching English composition courses and as an academic advisor where she advised Music and Fine Arts students through their degree programs. She was nominated multiple times for advisor of the year for her dedication to student success.

Currently, Prof. Taylor works at FSCJ as an Educational Technology Specialist where she researches online tools that support higher education and trains faculty on using the learning management system Canvas. She also currently teaches Music Literature for the UNF School of Music as a part-time instructor. Prof. Taylor enjoys the opportunity to teach this online Gordon Writing class in Music because it combines her educational backgrounds in English and Music while also allowing her to apply her knowledge of online learning.
