  • Who can use Lend-A-Wing?
    The pantry is accessible to all Activity and Service Fee (A&S) paying students at the University of North Florida facing food insecurity. Most currently-enrolled students are A&S Fee paying students with few exceptions.
  • Do I have to pay to use Lend-A-Wing?
    The pantry is free! Students can access the pantry by swiping their Osprey1 Card at the check-in desk.
  • Are there any limits on pantry usage?
    Students are able to visit Lend-A-Wing once a day, and shop within the limits set on each category of items that are posted in the pantry.
  • What's available at Lend-A-Wing?
    Lend-A-Wing offers food items, hygiene products, and school supplies. Items students can expect are frozen meats, frozen and refrigerated items, fresh produce, fresh bread, microwavable food items, breakfast and snack bars, canned foods, dinner staples, a variety of personal hygiene products, and basic school supplies.
  • How many students use Lend-A-Wing?
    Lend-A-Wing sees a fluctuation in the usage of the pantry throughout the year. Since July 2022, we have had over 9,000+ student visits.
  • What are your most needed items?

    Our most needed items are: 

    • Canned meats (tuna, chicken, spam, etc)
    • Canned beans
    • Microwavable rice and quinoa
    • Canned veggies (corn, carrots, potatoes, mixed variety, etc.)
    • Pasta and pasta sauce
    • Gluten-free, vegan, Kosher, and other dietary-restricted items.
