Legislative Records

Mission Statement

The Legislative Branch of the University of North Florida's Student Government is responsible for serving the university's students in the Senate by passing legislation and resolutions on their behalf. The Legislative Branch is also responsible for representing the students in all national, state, local, and university-wide concerns as their elected representatives.

Senate & Committee Agendas, Minutes, Voting Records, and Legislation:

Student Government believes in transparency for all students at the University of North Florida. In compliance with Florida's Sunshine Law, Student Government revised Title IV of its Constitution and Statutes in order to make legislative records more transparent and accessible for the student body. As such, Chapter 408: Maintenance of Legislative Records, now holds that all records emanating from Senate and Committee meetings shall be, henceforth, made available online. Records shall consist of, but not be limited to, voting records, attendance records, agendas of Senate and Legislative Committee meetings, minutes of Senate and Legislative Committee meetings, and passed legislation also known as Legislative Bills.

Current legislation and records for the Spring 2021 term will be updated continuously throughout the Spring Semester. However, should you be searching for legislation enacted prior to this, please check the UNF Digital Commons. Please visit the Legislative Branch Perch Portal to view the Senate and Committee agendas, minutes, and voting records, as well as passed legislation. If you do not have access to the Perch Portal, you can submit a Public Records Request in writing to the Student Government Advisor, Tyler Aldinger, at t.aldinger@unf.edu. The Student Government Advisor shall fulfill the request in a reasonable amount of time as dictated by Florida Public Records Law, Chapter 119.
