Mr. Barcal was appointed to the UNF Board of Trustees upon swearing in as Student Body President on April 12, 2024, for a term ending on April 11, 2025.
Other involvements at the University of North Florida include being an active Honors student and an Honors facilitator in an Honors first-year experience course. She has proudly served as a Student Conduct Board member and is the President of Between the Lines. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her cat Bean!
Student Body Treasurer
Benjamin Smith
Benjamin Smith is the Student Body Treasurer and serves as the chief financial officer of the Activity & Service Fee budget. In this role he oversees all Activity & Service Fee accounts and works to create a balanced Activity & Service Fee budget for the next fiscal year. For the past two years, he has served as Student Government's Osprey Involvement (OIC) Assistant Director, helping to oversee the OIC Staff and managing the funding requests and registrations of 200+ on-campus clubs/organizations.
Mr. Smith has formerly served as the Chair of Club Funding Board and on the General Education Council.
Other involvements at the University of North Florida include serving as an Honors facilitator in multiple Honors first-year experience courses. He has proudly served as the Treasurer of Honors Student Union and Vice President of UNF Cook Club. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.
Student Advocate
Haley Ginsberg
Haley Ginsberg is the Student Advocate for Student Government here at the University of North Florida. She is an Executive Cabinet member as well as the Ex. Officio Member of the University and Student Affairs Committee. Before her time in this role, Haley spent last year as the Osprey Student Conduct Advisors (OSCA) Director, where she took part in starting up the newest Agency of SG, participating in Conduct Training, as well as being a collaborator for Safety Week.
A key part of her role as Student Advocate is overseeing University Wide Committee (UWC) SG appointees, as well as personally sitting as Chair for the Student Life Advisory Board and Student Union Advisory Board, Vice Chair for Parking Advisory Council, and a member of Student Fee Assessment Committee and General Education Council.
Outside of Student Government, Haley is a Secondary English Education major, striving to become a high school teacher and doing so while demonstrating a desire to advocate for those around her. She loves to wind down by reading a good book, crafting, or spending quality time with her friends here at UNF.

Anthony Balsamo
Anthony Balsamo currently holds the position of Attorney General, where he serves as the Chief Executive Prosecutor for Student Government, representing the interests of the student body in all legal proceedings. As a junior at the University of North Florida, he is pursuing a double major in Political Science and Business Management, with a strong commitment to enhancing and revitalizing the university community.
In addition to his role as Attorney General, Anthony is actively involved in the Interfraternity Council, serving as Vice President of Finance and Academics, as well as the Treasurer of his fraternity. He participates in various campus organizations and intramural sports, fostering a vibrant student experience. Originally from Fernandina Beach, Florida, Anthony frequented Jacksonville throughout his life.

Deputy Chief of Staff
Kayla Charde
Kayla Charde is a senior from Naples, Florida, majoring in communication with a concentration in advertising. This is Kayla's second year serving as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Student Government's executive branch and her third and final year serving in SG.
As Deputy Chief of Staff, Kayla oversees several internal projects and SG-related events, such as SG at Market Days, Lunch on the Green, Groovin on the Green, and Homecoming Court. Kayla enjoys working with student groups and campus departments to enhance the overall "Osprey experience". Her favorite event to host on campus is the events on the Green, as she is very passionate about showcasing our talented student bands and groups.
In 2024, under the Grosso-Sullivan administration, Kayla was awarded the Student Service Award as recognition for her dedicated service to the university community and student body. She plans to continue to serve with this mindset and goal of always promoting and enriching the Osprey community.
In her free time, Kayla likes to read Black literature, go on nature trails, visit the downtown area to shop and try new cuisines, and hang out with her cat, Sir Roni. Kayla is also learning how to cook popular Italian and Korean dishes, as cooking is one of her favorite after-hours activities.
Kayla looks forward to her last year at UNF and is set on making it one of the best.
Director of Public Relations
Tatum Smith
Tatum Smith is originally from Tallahassee, FL and is pursuing a Business Marketing degree with minors in digital marketing and sports management. This is her second year in Student Government previous serving as Director of Graphic Design and now as Director of Public Relations.
Outside of Student Government she is a member of the sorority, Alpha Phi serving on their executive board. She has a passion to ensure Student Government represents itself well around campus and makes information available to the student body through social media posts and graphics!
Director of Graphic Design
Javon Williams
Javon Williams is the Director of Graphic Design of Student Government at the University of North Florida. He previously served as the Lead Student Assistant in the Student Government Rotunda for two years, welcoming guests and helping SG members.
Javon is a Graphic Design & Digital Media major, specializing in motion design, publications, and illustration. He has worked with collegiate clients and organizations outside of campus; delivering marketing solutions. In his free time, he enjoys drawing, listening to music, and DJ-ing.
Director of External Affairs
Faith Paul
Faith Paul currently serves as the Director of External Affairs at the University of North Florida. Originally from West Palm Beach, FL, she is pursuing a major in Business Management. Before taking on this role, Faith served as a Senator in the Legislative Branch.
As Director of External Affairs, she is responsible for leading initiatives such as Swoop N Save and the annual Rally in Tally event in Tallahassee. Faith also serves on the Student Union Advisory Board and is an active member of Alpha Phi.
In her free time, Faith enjoys coffee, traveling, and spending time assisting fellow members of Student Government with their initiatives.

Osprey Involvement Center
Osprey Involvement Center is the hub of involvement at UNF. It's a tool to aid in club workshops, involvement coaching, leadership development, and various other services that are all aimed at building community.
Lend-A-Wing Pantry
The Pantry is staffed by UNF students for UNF students; dedicated to serving the basic needs of the students at the University of North Florida. Items may include food and hygienic supplies, provided anonymously and at no cost to the student. Through this service we help foster continued academic success and increase retention for students in need.Lend-A-Fit
Lend-A-Fit provides students with business professional outfits at no cost in order to build students' wardrobe as they prepare for interviews and workplace dress codes. This service encourages vocational development combined with academic nourishment.
Osprey Student Conduct Advisors
As an Executive Agency of the University of North Florida Student Government, the Osprey Student Conduct Advisors (OSCA) shall enhance the overall student conduct process to provide students with the information they are afforded as members of the UNF community. OSCA as an agency promotes knowledge, provides awareness of ethical conduct standards and the student conduct process, overall improving the student conduct relationship and facilitating an environment that develops trust between the advisors and students.
