Anti-Discrimination Policy

  • Discrimination shall be defined as the differential treatment of a student or student group solely on the basis of his or her gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, creed, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, parental status, disability, and any combination thereof, or what is outlined in the University Non-Discrimination, Equal Opportunity, and Diversity Statement (Title X, 1002.1).

Please note that this section only mentions Code of Ethics and that each point has a full break down within Student Government Constitution and Statutes Title X.

How Do I, as a Student, File a Judicial Complaint?

Judicial Complaints can be filed by both an A&S fee-paying student and Student Government member.

  • Judicial Complaints may be filed when an alleged violation of Student Government law has occurred (Title V, 507.1).
  • The student alleging that the violation occurred shall bring their complaint to the attention of the Attorney General before filing with the Court (Title V, 507.2).
  • The Attorney General shall determine merit in regard to a Judicial Complaint (Title V, 507.2).
  • If the Attorney General does not find merit or is unable to prosecute a Judicial Complaint, the A&S fee-paying student who files the Judicial Complaint will become the petitioner of the Complaint. The complainant will have the option to appoint any willing A&S fee-paying student to assist them in proving their complaint (Title V, 507.3).
  • All of the above must be filled within the purview of a complaint.
  • A full breakdown of this process, Judicial Complaint, can be found in Chapter 507 of Title V.
