Parking Appeals

If you would like to appeal a parking citation, visit Parking and Transportation for more information on the rules and process of a parking appeal.
You can file through the Parking and Transportation link or,
If you are a student, you can appeal through your MyWings.
An appeal must be filed within 14 calendar days from the date a citation was received.

How does the Appeals Process Work?

When you send in your appeal it is reviewed by parking services at a first level.
If your appeal is denied you can appeal this decision to a board of your peers.

Any A&S fee-paying student can file a Judicial Complaint when an alleged violation of Student Government law has occurred. This includes violations of the Student Government Constitution and Statutes.

What Are My Rights as a Student in Regard to Student Government?

Please note that this is only a portion of what a student can file, and that any A&S fee-paying student can file a Judicial Complaint when an alleged violation of Student Government law has occurred. This includes violations of the Student Government Constitution and Statutes.

As Outlined in Title X, Code of Ethics (1000.1), Constitution and Statutes:

Freedom of Speech (1000.1, Section A)
Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and Association (1000.1, Section B)
Freedom of Press (1000.1, Section C)
Right to Information (1000.1, Section D)
Due Process (1000.5)

In addition, all Student Government members must follow Chapter 1001, Code of Ethics, while representing Student Government.

No Student Government member can act in a way that promotes their own personal interest over the interest of the student body (Title X, 1001.2, Section A, Subsection 1).
Any Student Government member that participates in any private business, professional activity, or group which would receive a personal benefit from any government action that is performed by Student Government shall be required to abstain from voting on any aspect of said legislation (Title X, 1001.2, Section A, Subsection 2).
No member of Student Government may receive unlawful compensation (Title X, 1001.2, Section C).
No officer or employee of the Student Government shall aid, advise, procure, or in any way induce another to act in violation of this chapter (Title X, 1001.2, Section D, Subsection 1).
No officer or employee of the Student Government shall cover up evidence or misrepresent a fact pertaining to a violation (Title X, 1001.2, Section D, Subsection 2).
No Justice shall allow a personal interest to influence a vote (Title X, 1001.2, Section D, Subsection 3).
No Student Government officer or employee shall in any way engage in intimidation (Title X, 1001.2, Section E).
No Student Government member shall in any way engage in retaliation (Title X, 1001.2, Section F).
No Student Government member shall commit written, printed, or verbal defamation (Title X, 1001.2, Section H).
No Student Government member shall misrepresent any material fact(s) through their speech or actions (Title X, 1001.2, Section I).

Anti-Discrimination Policy

Discrimination shall be defined as the differential treatment of a student or student group solely on the basis of his or her gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, creed, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, parental status, disability, and any combination thereof, or what is outlined in the University Non-Discrimination, Equal Opportunity, and Diversity Statement (Title X, 1002.1).

How Do I, as a Student, File a Judicial Complaint?

Judicial Complaints can be filed by both an A&S fee-paying student and Student Government member.

Judicial Complaints may be filed when an alleged violation of Student Government law has occurred (Title V, 507.1).
The student alleging that the violation occurred shall bring their complaint to the attention of the Attorney General before filing with the Court (Title V, 507.2).
The Attorney General shall determine merit in regard to a Judicial Complaint (Title V, 507.2).
If the Attorney General does not find merit or is unable to prosecute a Judicial Complaint, the A&S fee-paying student who files the Judicial Complaint will become the petitioner of the Complaint. The complainant will have the option to appoint any willing A&S fee-paying student to assist them in proving their complaint (Title V, 507.3).
All of the above must be filled within the purview of a complaint.
