HONORS LIVING
Honors students will have a new option to live, study, eat and socialize on campus beginning fall 2025.
The energy efficient facility will include space for about 520 beds, standard amenities such as designated study areas, lounge areas for socializing and a central kitchenette on each floor. An added feature not found in other on-campus housing is a pathway opening between floors for more communications with residents.
The Honors residence hall integrates on-campus living with focused academic and social experiences to enhance Honors students’ college experience by fostering a sense of community among like-minded peers with similar academic goals or shared interests.
The Honors College oversees one Living Learning Community (LLC) and two theme communities in partnership with UNF Housing and Residence Life. The Honors LLC, Global Honors and Honors Horizons will both be located in the new residence hall beginning fall 2025.
Honors LLC
The Honors LLC is a first-year Living-Learning Community open to all incoming Hicks Honors College students. The Honors LLC is an excellent way for first-year students to connect with their classmates, cohort, and upperclassmen peers.
Eligibility:
- Must be a First-Time in College (FTIC) student accepted to the Hicks Honors College
- Must enroll in IDH1923 (H) Colloquium in the fall semester of their first year
Global Honors
Global Honors is frequently described as an "international village" and is a blend of Hicks Honors College upperclassmen and international students. This Themed community is open to all Hicks Honors College upperclassmen and international exchange students.
Eligibility:
- Be a current sophomore, junior, and senior year student (by year, not credit) in the Hicks Honors College
- And/or be an international exchange student.
Honors Horizons
The Honors Horizons Theme Community is making its debut in 2025 as a community where Hicks Honors College upperclassmen (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) can live together in a continuation of the original Honors LLC.
Eligibility:
- Be a current upperclassmen (sophomore, junior, senior) in the Hicks Honors College
- and/or be an incoming transfer student (sophomore, junior, senior) who has been accepted to the Hicks Honors College.

The Honors LLC is a partnership with Housing and Residence Life and Hicks Honors College.
To join an Honors LLC or Theme Community, you must:
- Be accepted to UNF
- Complete a Housing Contract
- Apply for the LLC or Theme Community you wish to participate in through your Housing Portal
