Your Steps-to-Aid Checklist
#1 - Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Complete the FAFSA online at fafsa.ed.gov and enter UNF's school code: 009841
The Office of Student Financial Aid will receive a copy of your FAFSA after 4-7 business days.

#2 - Fulfill Financial Aid Document Requirements
Access your financial aid information via myWings by logging in at mywings.unf.edu.
- Choose Student on side menu
- Select Student Resources, and then Banner Self Service
- Select the Financial Aid tab
- Click Eligibility
- Choose Student Requirements
#3 - Office of Financial Aid Processes Students' Required Documents
The Office of Student Financial Aid will process received documents within 3-5 business days.
Osprey Tip: Check your UNF email and myWings account often for financial aid status alerts.
#4 - Accept Your UNF and Federal Financial Aid
Log in to myWings and follow these steps:
- Choose Student on side menu
- Select Student Resources, and then Banner Self Service
- Select the Financial Aid tab
- Click Award
- Choose Award by Aid Year
- Select the Accept Award Offer tab
- Click the dropdown next to each award to accept
- Click "Submit Decision"
- Review Financial Aid Award Status
#5 - Setup Direct Deposit If Expecting A Refund
Financial aid refunds are disbursed approximately two weeks after the first day of class.*
To sign up for direct deposit, access myWings and follow these steps:
- Choose Student on side menu
- Select My Bill
- Choose Sign Up under "Sign up for direct deposit refunds!"
- Complete Agreement and select "Continue"
- Enter your banking account information and select "Continue"
*Your individual disbursement date may be later depending on the status of your financial aid file.
