Research Centers and Institutes
The University of North Florida supports several institutes, centers, and analytical facilities that support research activities of faculty, staff, and students, often in partnership with other public and private universities, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental and industry partners.
Institutes and centers are defined in the Florida Board of Governors Regulation 10.015 as entities established at a university to support intra- and inter-institutional research, service, and/or educational activities. This regulation further mandates that each university in the State University System establish and enforce its own policy on institutes and centers.
