Grants Accounting and Financial Management

The mission of the Grants Accounting and Financial Management (GAFM) area within the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) includes oversight of the financial administration of externally funded contracts and grants received by the University of North Florida (UNF).

GAFM is responsible for complying with federal, state, University, and funding source regulations and guidelines. Audits conducted by agencies, state, and federal auditors require GAFM to maintain sound fiscal and internal controls. Further, the ORSP is responsible for certifying that project activities are in the best interest of the University and enhance its academic mission. Therefore, GAFM is guided by federal, state, University, and agency specific guidelines.
