Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. National Headquarters initially issued a suspension of the chapter effective February 2, 2025, through February 2, 2026. However, this decision was subsequently reversed, and the chapter was officially reinstated on February 20, 2025.

Sanctions:
- Chapter Roster: The organization is required to provide a complete chapter roster of current membership, with full names, N#, and contact information to the Dean of Students, no later than September 23, 2024.
- Learning Module: The organization is required to have 80% completion rate of the Osprey Ascend Learning Module: Hazing Awareness and Prevention. Completion of modules is due no later than October 11, 2024.
- Social Restrictions - Advisor Presence: All events/meetings/socials/functions/etc. of the organization will have an advisor present, either virtually or in-person, effective now through May 10, 2024.
- Disciplinary Probation: Effective immediately, the chapter is on Disciplinary Probation through May 10, 2025. Probation means that further violation of policy could result in Suspension or Expulsion from the University of North Florida.
- Membership Review: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. NHQ conduct a thorough membership review, potentially reviewing the scope of active alumni who interact and engage with the undergraduate chapter. Although the UNF scope cannot require actions taken at the Alumni level, this chapter is closely intertwined with the grad chapter's oversight and decision-making.
