Multicultural Greek Council

The Multicultural Greek Council at the University of North Florida is the governing body for the culturally-based fraternity and sorority chapters.  The primary purpose of MGC is to promote collaboration for the purpose of uniting fraternal organizations under National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), National Asian Pacific Islander American Pan-Hellenic Association (NAPA), and National Multicultural Greek Council (NMGC) on campus.

How to Join

Each culturally-based fraternity and sorority brings in new members at various times of the year through a process called Membership Intake or Recruitment. Each MGC chapter has different requirements for membership and each conducts intake on its own schedule. Some organizations conduct intake each semester; others do so only once a year.

All individuals seeking to join an MGC chapter at UNF must meet all OFSL membership requirements. Please refer to the “How to Join” page under our “Potential Members” tab for more information. Additionally, all potential interests must attend a MGC & NPHC Etiquette session, hosted by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life multiple times throughout the year.
