Brooks College of Health Scholarships
We offer an increasing number of merit and need-based scholarships each year funded by generous gifts from private donors, alumni, friends of the College, administration, faculty, staff, non-profit organizations and corporations.
There are various UNF and non-UNF scholarships available for UNF students. Scholarships are awarded for a variety of reasons, including academic achievement, financial need, campus and community involvement, and leadership experience. Scholarships are a form of gift aid and do not need to be repaid.
Scholarship Universe is here! UNF has transitioned from the Academic Works scholarship platform to Scholarship Universe. This third-party software system offers over 17,000 vetted and approved internal scholarships offered by UNF and external scholarships from non-UNF organizations.

Scholarship Universe
Scholarship Universe is a tool that matches you both to internal scholarships offered by UNF and external scholarships from non-UNF organizations.
The best part: No application is needed for most internal scholarships!
- You'll be automatically matched to potential awards based on your major, GPA, and other information UNF already knows. If you are awarded a non-application scholarship, we'll email your UNF account.
- To qualify for as many scholarship opportunities as possible, you can answer additional questions.
How do I view Matches and Partial Matches requiring an application?
- Log in to Scholarship Universe and click the Scholarships link on the left. Your matches will appear on the first tab.
- Click the “Apply” button to begin.
How do I view scholarships offered by UNF?
- In Scholarship Universe, you can only view internal scholarships that require an application and non-application internal scholarships that you have been awarded.
- Many colleges and departments have listed their scholarships on their websites.
- Admissions scholarships offered through Enrollment Services are listed at https://www.unf.edu/scholarships/programs.html.
How do I qualify for the most possible scholarships?
- The more scholarship matching questions you answer in Scholarship Universe, the more scholarships you may match to. Be sure to visit Scholarship Universe on a regular basis to keep your question bank up to date!
- Questions that relate directly to internal UNF awards end in “(UNF)”, so try to answer these first for the best matching outcome.
How do I log in to Scholarship Universe?
- If you have not yet set up your myWings and/or UNF email account, please see https://www.unf.edu/admissions/tech.html for step-by-step instructions.
- Log in to https://unf.scholarshipuniverse.com using your UNF credentials (the same information used to log in to myWings).
- Start answering matching questions by clicking on the bright green banner at the top or “Questions” on the left side.

Admissions Scholarships
The Office of Admissions offers scholarships to first-time-in-college (FTIC) and transfer students. These scholarships are awarded automatically based on qualifications and availability, and do not require a scholarship application.
Non-UNF Scholarships
UNF has a new scholarship matching platform called ScholarshipUniverse. Not only will you be able to apply for UNF scholarships through ScholarshipUniverse (coming in December 2024), the platform can also help you search for external scholarships, offered by non-UNF affiliated organizations. This platform matches students to scholarships based on questions you answer.
When you're ready to start applying, click on the ScholarshipUniverse button below. You will then log in using your UNF credentials. Start answering questions by selecting the Questions menu option on the left side. Scholarship matches will then display and you can select Apply to be redirected to a specific scholarship's application page.
You must already have a UNF student ID number to use the ScholarshipUniverse platform.

Scholarship Thank You Letter Tips
- Make an impact: Your thank you letter is very important to the donor! It provides you with an opportunity to share your own personal story and to express your gratitude for the award.
- Make it your own: Share your own story about you, what year you are in, what you are majoring in, how this scholarship has helped you and a brief description of your short-term / long-term career aspirations. The letter does not have to be long, but it should be heartfelt.
- Write professionally: You want to make a good impression! Write clearly and concise, express enthusiasm and be sincere and check for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting it.
- Handwritten letters: Handwritten letters can make an even greater impact!
