Registration for UNF Visitor Wireless Network

The "UNF Visitor" network is designated for visitors who are not affiliated with UNF. Students, faculty, and staff who need access to internal UNF network resources should connect connect to "UNF Wireless". With UNF Visitor, guests may complete a registration process that will provide eight days of continuous access. After the eight days has expired, they will need to complete a registration process again.

If a visitor needs access longer than seven days, there are two options. First, a faculty or staff member may sponsor the guest by submitting an ITS-Request. State 1) the reason for the extended access, 2) length of time need, and 3) role the guest will have while using the wireless services. The second option is for a student or employee to "sponsor" a device through myDevices.

Below are instructions for registering on the UNF Visitor network.

  1. From the wireless device's WiFi settings, select UNF-Visitor.
  2. Note: These images are from an iPhone, but most devices will look similar.

  1. You will be directed to a registration form.
  2. Enter your name, email address, and cell phone number (with the area code).
  3. Select the carrier of your cell phone from the drop provided.
  4. Read and select the terms of use check box.
  5. Click "Register".

  1. You will receive a text message with your username and password.
  2. Go back to the registration page and select "Sign in".
  3. The username and password do not copy directly from the text message. You can copy the whole text message and paste it into an email or Note app and then copy the password.

  2. Click "Log in".
  3. You will now be able to connect to UNF Visitor.
